These terms cover direct bookings made through casatodobueno.com and any stay at Casa Todo Bueno in El Tránsito, Nicaragua. We’ve written them in plain language — there are no hidden clauses here.
Casa Todo Bueno is a small family-run guesthouse in the fishing village of El Tránsito, on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. The guesthouse is operated by Casa Todo Bueno, registered in Alberta, Canada, and this website (casatodobueno.com) is our own. You can reach us any time at casatodobueno@gmail.com.
You can book direct on this site, or through the booking sites we are listed on (Booking.com, Airbnb and others). When you book direct, your reservation is handled by our booking system, Hostex, and your card payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
The full amount is due at the time of booking. A booking is confirmed when the payment clears and you receive our confirmation email. If a payment fails, or if we cannot honour a booking, we tell you straight away and any amount taken is refunded in full.
All prices are in US dollars (USD) per night, for the room or casita described. Local taxes, where they apply, are shown at checkout. From time to time we run promotions — for example the 15% green-season discount code GREENSEASON26, valid for direct bookings made before 31 October 2026. Discount codes apply to the accommodation rate only, and cannot be combined unless we agree it in writing.
Check-in is between 15:00 and 23:00; check-out is at 11:00. All times are Nicaragua time (America/Managua, UTC−6). Please tell us if you will arrive late and we will make a plan. The minimum stay is two nights on your arrival date. Early check-in or late check-out is often possible when the room is free — just ask.
Cancellations and refunds are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: our standard flexible rate gives a 100% refund if you cancel before the date 7 days prior to check-in, plus a full refund within 24 hours of paying.
Very occasionally something outside our control makes a stay impossible — storm damage, a water or power failure, a national emergency. If that happens we tell you as soon as we know, and you choose: a full refund, or a move to another date. We will never leave you without one of those two options.
We take real care of this property and of our guests, and we are responsible for the accommodation being as described. We are not responsible for indirect losses (for example a change to your travel plans) or for events outside our control. We recommend travel insurance — this stretch of coast is beautiful and remote, and insurance is a small cost for peace of mind.
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada. If a disagreement comes up, we will always try to sort it out with you directly first — write to casatodobueno@gmail.com.
We may update these terms as the guesthouse changes. The version on this page, with the date at the top, is the one that applies to your booking.
Anything unclear? Just ask: casatodobueno@gmail.com. We would rather answer a question than leave you guessing.
